What do you need to get started on a survey project?

Getting started is easy.  Usually we would chat for 30-40 minutes to understand your objectives for the research project.  Sometimes it makes sense for us to collaborate with members of your team such as senior leaders, sales reps, product marketing, and IT.

Here’s the process:

  • Discovery interviews.
  • Survey Outline creation – we deliver a 1-2pg outline which includes the survey objectives, key findings, hypothesis, draft questions.
  • Final Survey Questions sign-off.
  • Promotion, draft findings, raw data files.
  • If included, Findings Report creation.

What are the filters for targeting respondents?

We have amassed a massive list of business professionals across all functions, industries, and titles.  We can target these individuals within reason by the following filters:

  • Industry
  • Company Size
  • Title
  • Function
  • Region

The more granular the targeting requirements the more difficult it can be to drive large numbers of participants.  We will work with you to identify what is possible.  If for some reason we cannot fulfill your specific requirements we will not take on the project.  We would rather exceed your expectations that sign up for something we can’t deliver.

Can you guarantee responses?

Yes, we typically guarantee a minimum of 200 qualified survey responses for survey projects. Qualified survey responses are defined by participation from individuals that meet your specific target criteria.  The final responses very dramatically by the filter criteria and promotion tactics.  Keep in mind we may have to push the survey to 800 or more respondents just to fulfill 200 qualified respondents.

We use conditional logic in hosted surveys to fulfil qualified survey participation.

Do I need to come up with a topic?

No.  If you have ideas or a specific topic to explore we can pursue that.  We are very skilled at identifying topics that will drive the most engagement and education with your target audience.  We conduct pre-writing research to understand how the topic has been covered in the past and to make sure everything we produce is unique and valuable.

How long does it usually take to complete a custom research project?

For survey-only projects it usually takes 3-6 weeks to complete (from survey design, to promotion, to raw findings data).  If findings report is included in the project estimate an additional 4-6 weeks on top of survey creation and promotion.

What are the final deliverables?

You receive exclusive access to all raw survey data- delivered via excel and csv. You will not get access to contact information for individual survey participants. Additional outputs including

If a Findings Report is included in the survey project, we will deliver a production ready PDF version of the final report.  The Findings Report will include custom creative and layout design.  It’s up to you if you want it exclusively branded with our logo or co-branded with Demand ROI.  You do not receive raw creative files for Findings Reports but do support minor edits and changes as needed.

How much does a typical project cost?

We price competitively on a project-by-project basis.Survey projects range from $20-40k depending on deliverables (guaranteed responses, survey length, target audience, findings report included, etc.). Request a quote and let’s talk about what you want to accomplish.

We invoice 50% up front after a signed SOW and 50% after final delivery.  But we are very flexible with payment terms – many of our clients commit last minute unused funds to content creation or need to spread payments across multiple quarters.
